Bumps in the Road

Piper Greenway’s best friend Rachel is moving to Edinburgh, Scotland and Piper is going with her…for the week. Piper has mapped out every detail for the two of them, including lodging, meals, touristy escapades, and apartment shopping. But then Rachel’s brother surprises them on the plane and ruins everything. Piper has known both the Moreau siblings since they were children. They were all friends until high school, when Piper overheard Nick say something truly unforgivable about her. She’s hated him ever since.
Nick Moreau almost doesn’t go to Scotland on account of Piper being there. However, he is determined to be a good brother and help Rachel with her move. What he hasn’t told anyone, though, is that he too is looking to move to the U.K. and has a plan to make this dream a reality. His plan is postponed when Rachel gets called away to a last-minute mandatory school orientation, so he and Piper are now stuck alone in a car, driving through the Scottish Highlands.
A day of bad luck forces Nick and Piper to get to know each other again through deep conversations, a clearing up of the past, and an intense connection that they need to work through before the week is up.

Down to a Science

Rachel Moreau is Edinburgh’s newest resident. She has moved to Scotland with one specific goal: her Ph.D. in Marine Biodiversity. However, she instantly feels out of place and wonders if moving to a new country was a mistake. She doesn’t know a single soul in the city—until she meets Isla.
Isla Pyeon, tour guide, shop attendant, pub singer, and occasional dog walker, is the perfect person to introduce Rachel to her new home. She loves her city and knows it like the back of her hand, as well as many of the people in it. A sucker for a pretty face and always eager to lend a helping hand, Isla takes Rachel under her wing.
Following several accidental run-ins, the two spend an entire day exploring the city and getting to know one another. However, after this romantic day ends in disaster, Rachel and Isla have to reconstruct their short-lived entanglement as Rachel searches for grounding in her new home and Isla does everything she can to build a foundation for her aspirations. Despite his efforts, he feels stuck and desperately needs someone to offer a solid push.

Romance is permanently off her agenda as she learns to navigate the challenges of losing her sight to a neurodegenerative eye disease known as Retinitis Pigmentosa. She’s managing, but she and her ex-fiancé are now members of the same bridal party, and facing him alone feels daunting.
When Linny meets Ben, the charming co-owner of the café next door to her antique shop, he proposes a harmless idea: they’ll pretend to be a couple. This simple weekend-long plan quickly escalates when Ben’s friends catch wind of their so-called relationship. Now, both realize they’ll have to continue this ruse a bit longer.
